Choosing a browser that’s good for you!

Enough of sucky MS’ Internet Explorer? Switch from browser today! I made this page to make it easier for you to choose. The following browsers are listed on this page: Firefox, Opera, Safari and Camino.

Firefox Mozilla Firefox
Firefox is a free open-source browser which is built for speed and security. It also block unwanted pop-ups and allows you to browse tabbed. Even a Microsoft security program manager runs Firefox.

  1. Go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html.
  2. Choose a version which will work on your operating system.
  3. Save the file on your computer.
  4. Double-click on the installer to start the installation.
  5. Click ‘Next’ on each step until the set-up is finished.
  6. Start Firefox, Windows will ask the first time if you want Firefox to be your default browser. Click ‘Yes’ if you like.

Opera Opera
Opera is a fast and safe browser (The best web browser of 2004). The browser contains tabbed browsing, an e-mail client and a chat client.

  1. Go to http://www.opera.com/download/index.dml?custom=yes.
  2. Choose your operating system.
  3. Choose a version and a language.
  4. Save the file on your computer.
  5. Double-click on the installer to start the installation.
  6. Click ‘Next’ on each step until the set-up is finished.
  7. Start Opera, Windows will ask the first time if you want Firefox to be your default browser. Click ‘Yes’ if you like.

Safari Safari
Safari is the standard browser of Mac OS X. It’s one of the fasted browsers and it contains tabbed browsing, pop-up blocking and excellent security settings.

  1. Go to http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/safari.html.
  2. Download the file to your Apple.
  3. Double-click the installer to start the installation.
  4. Drag Safari to your Applications folder.
  5. Start Safari.

Camino Camino
Camino is an open-source browser for Mac OS X and got the style of Mozilla and the power of Mac. Some say it’s the best browser for a Mac. The browser contains tabbed browsing, privacy tools and the best rendering engine.

  1. Go to http://www.caminobrowser.org/download/releases/1.0.3/ (or the Multilingual version).
  2. Download the file to your Apple
  3. Double-click the installer to start the installation.
  4. Drag Camino to your Applications folder.
  5. Start Camino.
